Hello out there,
I hope life has been good to you. This is just a quick note to let you know that Osprey Outdoors Kayak School is still running rivers with many folks and helping many achieve their dreams. The snow pack
looks great for this year. This will prolong a season on the Upper Sacramento,
which is a beautiful river and provide good flows for the Klamath.
What's new for this year is that I grew tired of trying to teach folks in the eddy at the Tree of Heaven campground since it
was a small area and started to get more popular. Now, I have set up the classes so the first day of each lesson is a half-day
class at Lake Siskiyou. With half a day on the lake, I feel I can teach some of the most important strokes for safer river
running and spend more time teaching the kayak roll in a warm lake environment. I think this will help most folks achieve a
kayak roll, which will help them feel more successful in the river environment.
